Who writes this
I like upgrading myself through technology.
I am eight years into a corporate career and deeply interested in AI tools
and workflow automation — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and whatever ships next. I
started using them back when nearly everything was chat-based, and built a
web-based lookup system with them that I actually deployed in my day job. I
made a great many mistakes getting there.
This blog is where I write those mistakes down without sanding off the
edges. It works as a reference I come back to myself, and I publish it hoping
it becomes a shortcut for people doing the same thing I am: trying to level up
while holding down a full-time job.
What this site is about
One idea runs through everything here: run AI automation on real,
self-hosted infrastructure — and verify what it reports from outside.
The WordPress this site runs on is the test bench, an AI agent is the method,
and checking claimed success against observable effects is the discipline.
Every post is one pass through that loop, mistakes included.

What I am trying to do here
Explain what the news actually changes
There is no shortage of AI announcements. There is a shortage of writing
that says what any of it changes about your actual work. I try to close that
gap.
Run it first, then write about it
I would rather write about something I set up and ran than something I read
about. Configuration, real costs, the errors along the way — the whole process,
including the parts that did not work.
Learn in public
This is not a course delivered by an expert. I am learning as I go, and I
would rather record that honestly than pretend otherwise. If something I
stumbled through saves you an afternoon, that is the entire point.
What I believe
Technology is worth more when it is shared. I try to explain difficult
things plainly, and I write mostly about what I have done myself.
